Why We Did It

It's a great cause!!!

Folding@home goal is to understand protein folding, misfolding, and related diseases.

To achieve this, they have created a distributed computing project that people throughout the world can download and run on their own computers. The software simulates the process of protein folding, which is critical and fundamental to virtually all of biology and in many ways remains a mystery.
